Adding Keywords to Track
Keywords (also called topics) are the search queries you want to monitor. Surva.ai tracks how your brand and competitors appear when users search for these terms.
What Gets Tracked Per Keyword
For each keyword you add, Surva.ai monitors:
- AI Chat Responses - What ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini say
- Google AI Overviews - AI-generated answer boxes in Google
- Organic Rankings - Top 100 search results
- Competitor Ads - Who's advertising on this keyword
- Search Trends - Search volume and trend direction
How to Add Keywords
- Go to Topics in the sidebar
- Click the Add Topic button
- Enter your keyword phrase
- Click Add
You can add multiple keywords at once by entering them on separate lines.
Choosing Good Keywords
Start with keywords that are:
- High intent - Terms your ideal customers actually search
- Specific enough - "Best CRM for startups" vs just "CRM"
- Question-based - AI platforms excel at answering questions
- Comparison queries - "X vs Y" or "best X alternatives"
Keyword Ideas by Type

- "What is [your category]"
- "How to [solve problem you solve]"
- "[Your category] explained"

- "[Competitor] alternatives"
- "[Competitor] vs [Your brand]"
- "Best [your category] tools"
