Types of Alerts
Surva.ai generates alerts for:
- New Competitor Ads - When competitors launch new ads
- Keyword Surges - When tracked keywords spike in interest
- AI Visibility Changes - Significant shifts in AI mentions
- Ranking Changes - Major organic ranking movements
- Landing Page Changes - When competitors update pages
- Sentiment Shifts - Changes in brand mention sentiment
Accessing Alerts
View your alerts in several places:
- Alerts page - Full alert center (sidebar > Alerts)
- Dashboard - Recent alerts in the activity feed
- Email digest - Daily summary in your inbox
Alert Center
The Alerts page shows:
- All alerts sorted by recency
- Filter by alert type
- Mark as read/unread
- Click to view related data
Daily Digest Email
Every morning, you receive an email digest containing:
- Summary of alerts from the past 24 hours
- Key metrics snapshot
- Notable competitor activity
- Links to view details in Surva.ai
The digest is sent at 7 AM in your timezone.
Alert Settings
Customize your alerts in Settings > Alerts:
- Enable/disable specific alert types
- Email frequency - Daily digest, instant, or off
- Threshold settings - Minimum change to trigger alert
Alert Priority
Alerts are categorized by importance:
- High - Significant changes requiring attention
- Medium - Notable changes worth reviewing
- Low - Minor changes for awareness
Acting on Alerts
When you receive an alert:
- Click the alert to view details
- Assess impact - Is this significant?
- Take action if needed (create content, adjust ads, etc.)
- Mark as read to clear from your queue
Alert Generation
Alerts are generated automatically by scheduled jobs:
- Run daily at 8 AM ET
- Compare current data to previous snapshots
- Trigger alerts when thresholds are exceeded
Managing Alert Volume
If you're getting too many alerts:
- Increase sensitivity thresholds
- Disable less important alert types
- Focus on High priority alerts only
- Switch to daily digest instead of instant
Team Alerts
Each team member can configure their own alert preferences. Alert settings are per-user, not account-wide.
