Get Started in 5 Minutes
This guide will help you set up Surva.ai and start tracking your AI visibility right away.
Step 1: Complete Your Brand Profile
After signing up, you'll be prompted to set up your brand:
- Enter your company name exactly as you want it tracked
- Add your website domain (e.g., example.com)
- Select your country for localized search results
- Click Save to create your brand
Your brand name and domain are used to identify mentions across AI platforms, so make sure they're accurate.
Step 2: Add Your First Keywords
Keywords (also called topics) are the search queries you want to monitor. To add keywords:
- Go to Topics in the sidebar
- Click Add Topic
- Enter a keyword phrase (e.g., "best CRM software")
- Click Add
Start with 5-10 high-priority keywords that are most relevant to your business. You can always add more later.
Step 3: Add Competitors
Tracking competitors helps you understand your relative position. To add competitors:
- Go to Competitors in the sidebar
- Click Add Competitor
- Enter the competitor's domain (e.g., competitor.com)
- Click Add
Surva.ai will automatically fetch the competitor's name, logo, and start tracking them across your keywords.
Step 4: Wait for Data
After adding keywords and competitors, Surva.ai begins collecting data. Initial data typically appears within:
- AI Visibility - Within 24 hours
- Organic Rankings - Within 24 hours
- Competitor Ads - Within 48 hours
- Trend Data - Immediately (from Google Trends)
Step 5: Explore Your Dashboard
Once data starts flowing, your dashboard will show:
- AI Intelligence Card - Your AI visibility share and platform breakdown
- Top Brands by AI Visibility - How you compare to competitors
- Surging Topics - Keywords with increasing search interest
- Competitor Activity - Recent competitor moves
