Account Setup and Brand Configuration

Configure your Surva.ai account, add brands, set up multi-brand tracking for agencies, manage team members, and choose your subscription plan. Complete onboarding guide.

Account Overview

Your Surva.ai account is the central hub for all your AI visibility tracking. Each account can manage one or more brands, invite team members, and configure billing. All data is isolated per brand so agencies can track multiple clients from one login.

Onboarding Flow

When you first sign up or add a new brand, Surva.ai walks you through a three-step onboarding process:

  1. Company Information - enter your brand name, website domain, industry, and business type (SaaS, ecommerce, local service, healthcare, agency, etc.). Surva.ai crawls your website to automatically extract your target audience, brand voice, mission statement, and suggested keywords.
  2. Keywords and Competitors - review the AI-suggested keywords and competitors based on the website analysis. Add or remove any from the list. Your remaining keyword quota is shown based on your plan.
  3. Preferences - choose notification preferences and module settings, then launch into your dashboard.

After onboarding, Surva.ai automatically creates your brand profile, seeds content rules (to avoid AI-sounding cliches like em-dashes and overused phrases), and triggers background data collection across all AI platforms.

Brand Settings

Click your brand name in the sidebar dropdown to access brand settings. Each brand stores:

  • Brand Name - the name Surva.ai looks for in AI responses
  • Domain - your primary website URL for citation and referral tracking
  • Industry and Business Type - used to contextualize AI analysis and content generation
  • Target Country and Language - localization settings for content and search data
  • Brand Overview - AI-generated summary of your brand from website crawl
  • Service Area - national, regional, local, or global coverage settings

Multi-Brand Support

Agencies and multi-product companies can add additional brands from the brand switcher in the sidebar. Each brand has completely isolated data including prompts, competitors, mentions, citations, content, and insights. Switch between brands instantly using the dropdown.

Brand limits by plan:

  • Starter ($59/mo) - 1 brand, 30 keywords
  • Growth ($99/mo) - up to 5 brands, 75 keywords
  • Business ($299/mo) - up to 15 brands, 250 keywords

Brand add-on packs are available to expand limits beyond your base plan.

Adding a New Brand

When you create a brand, Surva.ai automatically:

  • Cleans and validates the domain
  • Fetches brand favicon
  • Creates an "own brand" competitor record for self-comparison in visibility calculations
  • Crawls your website and generates your brand profile using AI (target audience, voice, differentiators)
  • Seeds 12 default content writing rules to avoid AI-sounding patterns
  • Switches your session to the new brand

Onboarding Checklist

After brand creation, a 5-step checklist tracks your setup progress: add keywords, add competitors, view opportunities, track your first keyword, and create content. Steps are auto-completed as you use the platform.

Team Members

Go to Team from the account menu to invite colleagues. Team members share access to all brand data within the account.

Billing and Subscription

Visit Billing to manage your subscription plan. Plans scale based on keywords tracked, competitors monitored, deep tracking slots, and AI scans performed. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.

API Access

For programmatic access to your data, generate API keys from the settings page. See the API Reference for available endpoints.
