Organic Ranking Tracking
Surva.ai tracks organic Google search rankings for all your monitored keywords, showing where you and your competitors appear in the search results.
How Rankings Are Tracked
Every day, Surva.ai checks Google search results for each of your tracked keywords and records:
- Which domains appear in the top results
- Their ranking positions (1-100)
- Position changes from the previous check
- Presence of featured snippets, AI Overviews, etc.
Viewing Your Rankings
Navigate to Organic Search > Organic Rankings to see the rankings table.
The table shows:
- Keyword - The tracked search term
- Your Position - Where you rank (or "Not ranked")
- Change - Position change since last check
- Top Competitor - Who ranks #1
- Search Volume - Monthly search volume
Ranking Change Indicators
- Green up arrow - Position improved (moved up in results)
- Red down arrow - Position dropped
- Gray dash - No change
- "New" - Just appeared in results
- "Lost" - Dropped out of tracked positions
Historical Ranking Data
Click any keyword to see its ranking history chart:
- Your position over time
- Competitor positions over time
- Date markers for significant changes
Snapshots are stored for 12 months of historical data.
Ranking Opportunities
Look for keywords where:
- You rank in positions 5-20 (close to page 1 or on the cusp)
- Competitors rank highly but you do not
- Your position is declining and needs attention
Connection to AI Visibility
Organic rankings and AI visibility are interconnected:
- Strong organic rankings often correlate with AI mentions
- Content that ranks well gets cited by AI platforms
- Use ranking data alongside AI visibility data for a complete picture
